In the
dream, it was my cousin (name withheld) that broke into my family house with an
AK47 riffle. He was trembling and serious. He requested my mum to go and lay
flat on the ground as he point the gun at me. My mum quickly obeyed. It was
just the three of us in the scene. I gently asked him what do you need. He was
younger than i am and a drop out from senior school. He quickly replied my
laptop, cash, phones and fast! "Ok" i said to him." Calm down I
will not shout or disobey you, you are my brother, I will give you everything
you want so that you will be happy again"
I told him but I don't have enough cash. He said fast! I started
gathering all I have, laptop, phones, I took some cloths i bought newly and asked
"do you like this one" he said yes put it in that bag. I did same for
shoes until the bag became so full I requested him to help me to zip the bag.
He was more relaxed now because i was patience and responding positively. He
drop the gun by the side and came around to help zip the bag, I can remember
exactly why it was so difficult to zip. I was moved as i looked at my mum still
lying down on the floor, so I gently collected the gun dropped by my side and
told him let me drop it away from us so that it will not harm any of us. As i
moved with the gun effortlessly he came towards me and asked me to give him
back the gun. I gave it back to him. He told me at this point that he realised
that if he took all these things or may be become rich, nobody will accept his
gift again ( norm in Mgbowo) and people will look at him like a bad person
anywhere he goes and he would never have peace again as he would be dodging
some people or hiding everyday. That he likes my kind of life, even though I
don't have much I give as if am so rich and act as if I have another store of
wealth hidden outside the surface of the earth. He abandoned the bag and left
with his gun. My mum stood up and was very happy.
