Hmm; Always Assume You Know.

By Bridget Eze

Let M̶̲̅ε̲̣̣̣ share a philosophy of mine that has been helping M̶̲̅ε̲̣̣̣ all the way.

Tho very lenghty buh interesting aswell.‪#‎Happyreading‬
ALWAYS ASSUME YOU KNOW!!!
It all started when I was in SS1 (ADSS maitama abuja) we had our usual young catholic student (YCS) fellowship meeting in school der and a reverend father was invited to give us a "talk"
While he (the reverend father) was advising us as students he told us to "always assume we know either academically or socially. That assuming will make us strive to know that particular thing we already professed we know, and also, so as not to fall our hands to that person we already told we know, thereby strive/struggle to know that(it could be anything) ...‪#‎u‬ dig???
After the fellowship I went back to class to tell my other friends who were not catholics and didn't attend the fellowship what our FATHER said and D̶̲̥̅̊α̇̇̇†̥̥ I will someday give it a trial.
So I did indeed....
When I was in SS2,there was this student in SS1 (same school)she met M̶̲̅ε̲̣̣̣ to help her with her mathematics assignment and D̶̲̥̅̊α̇̇̇†̥̥ she was gonna submit it before break time. I looked at the work it was all this pythagoras theorem.
And I was like OMG! M̶̲̅ε̲̣̣̣ dah hate maths talk more of pythagoras theorem. But still I collected it told her I knew it (assumed I knew it) then told her to go and come back in 30mins time.
Immediately I rushed to one maths guru in my class den and asked him to teach M̶̲̅ε̲̣̣̣ ,he did and I knew/understood it asap. So wen she came back for it I was now balanced to explain the work to her no shaking.
Why???
Simply because I assumed!!!
And it continued like that in secondary school till I finished.
Another experience was when I entered higher institution and came back for break. There was this reigning hair style den I told my younger sis D̶̲̥̅̊α̇̇̇†̥̥ I use to make it for my friends in school and D̶̲̥̅̊α̇̇̇†̥̥ I was gonna make it for her ....meanyl I know have neva made that particular hair style for anybody, although I could make hair then sha but neva made that style I told my sis.
Because I was very inquisitive and had already assumed I know and didn't want to fall my hand,I decided to go to a salon and make D̶̲̥̅̊α̇̇̇†̥̥ exact style on my hair.
While they were making it for M̶̲̅ε̲̣̣̣ I knew how to make the style from the stylist and came back and practicalised it on my sis hair and it was perfect.
Samething happened in the case of eyelash, nails and many other things I learnt.
All thanks to that reverend father tho have forgotten his name......atleast apart from academics, he made M̶̲̅ε̲̣̣̣ know more like making perfect hair, nails, lashes and many oda things.
Also
Thanks to my sis them,my practical practicalizations (lol) D̶̲̥̅̊α̇̇̇†̥̥ made M̶̲̅ε̲̣̣̣ perfect wen it has to do with hair, nails e.t.c
Now I can confidently say assuming made M̶̲̅ε̲̣̣̣ have perfect hand-work/skill.
You too can ASSUME yoU̶̲̥̅̊ know anything kwa!!!

It Takes Nothing to be Humble

By Bridget Eze

Someone jes annoyed M̶̲̅ε̲̣̣̣ dis morning..
I mean not up to 40mins ago
Ok!
Lemme Narrate what happened..
I rushed out of the office dis mrng to use the ATM because what I wanted doing was urgent.
On getting der I saw a very long queue, asked for the last person and took my stand.
After the long wait, this POLICE woman jes bounced in and came to the front straight up.
I was jes watching her to know wat she will do.
It was now remaining like two people before my turn, one man behind M̶̲̅ε̲̣̣̣ stupidly said "ah officer waiting too,dah she would have used the ATM without queing, because she has sometin doing in the office" ‪#‎Imagine‬ talk
I was like how will a normal nigerian voice out such useless statement.
But I simply replied the man D̶̲̥̅̊α̇̇̇†̥̥,she has to wait for her turn no arguement, cos datz the normal tin to do. Besides M̶̲̅ε̲̣̣̣ too have work doing in the office b4 I came out. He kept quite.
Note: if that police woman had pleaded to withdraw b4 us or M̶̲̅ε̲̣̣̣ der,I or we would have allowed her.
Instead she foolishly was forming she can't beg.
So I told the girl in my front to withdraw and after her it will now be my turn and I will withdraw and won't allow that woman.
D girls turn d police woman draged with her,she didn't succeed.(Imagine police officer disgracing hersef)
Twas now my turn one mumu man abi na guy sef dunno, now came and said I must allow the officer to withdraw(wit command).....I told him I won't.
The woman started shouting at M̶̲̅ε̲̣̣̣ ,I shouted back at her telling her how she couldn't even respect her uniform and office and do the right thing.
The foolish guy joined her too.
Twas only dis three pipo (police woman,d foolish guy,and the man behind M̶̲̅ε̲̣̣̣ )that were supporting themselves. ‪#‎i‬ didn't care about the rubbish dey wia saying anyways...
The rest pipo der were not in support (I mean they were for M̶̲̅ε̲̣̣̣ ,because I was right).
Ok!
The foolish man pushed M̶̲̅ε̲̣̣̣ from behind to leave the ATM for the police woman wit full force,I almost fell down,my wallet,ATM and fone fell and I picked it up.
I didn't know wat came over M̶̲̅ε̲̣̣̣ ....with the anger D̶̲̥̅̊α̇̇̇†̥̥ I was right and standing for it and ol D̶̲̥̅̊α̇̇̇†̥̥
I turned and gave the mumu man/guy a dirty side SLAP.
Surprised???
Yes!!!
Because he deserved it from M̶̲̅ε̲....and too people D̶̲̥̅̊α̇̇̇†̥̥ were for M̶̲̅ε̲̣̣̣ gathered,D̶̲̥̅̊α̇̇̇†̥̥s even y I had d guts to slap him bcos I know people der wouldn't have allowed him do anytin to M̶̲̅ε̲̣̣̣ ...ThankGod!
‪#‎First‬ time ever I slapped a guy in pulic or even engage mysef in ATM arguement, U̶̲̥̅̊ can imagine what prompted M̶̲̅ε̲̣̣̣ to so today.
Finally,I finished my transaction,d bank security guy came to meet M̶̲̅ε̲̣̣̣ D̶̲̥̅̊α̇̇̇†̥̥ d foolish guy is a MOPOL guy, and dah was y he was supporting the POLICE woman.
FADAAA!!!
Dah was wen I knew he was a mopol....I said to mysef,So I slaped a mopol man.
"Make e be,e dun happen be say e dun happen."
Anyways served him ryt.‪#‎he‬ will neva forget dis day.

I decided to post this because there are most pipo out der,D̶̲̥̅̊α̇̇̇†̥̥ will do wat dis police woman/mopol man did knowing fully well is wrong...
Have met reputable men and women queing for their turn in different places, cos they know is the right tin to do,sometimes dey get to plea wen they are in a haste.
It takes nothing to be humble.
Thanks!

11.2.15 dream. The brutality of man

On the 11.2.15 as I woke up I thought of writing the experience I had in my dream but I lots of activities took my time so am writing this now after having another dream on the 12.2.15. I want to however in this section write about the experience of 11.2.15 first. It was in a Nigerian setting again and I found myself in an environment where bad boys had some freedom to take advantage of the weak. In a group of about ten surrounding a boy screaming for help they kept smashing his head with their foot and rejoicing at his cry. I went a bit closer to see if I can identify some of this boys but to not avail. When they are through with him and all dismissed one of they came towards me with smiles saying "today's meeting was fun". I remembered I have met him once and we have played ps2 together somewhere I cant remember vividly. Shortly the police arrived and started arresting everyone around the scene. I allowed myself to be arrested with the aim of telling exactly what I saw and at least point that boy that met me so that he can lead the police to his colleagues. Things in the dream didn't appear too clearly as I write now but I could remember that I tried to call the attention of the police on duty but they have refused to hear me out. It was in my struggle to air my view that I woke up.

As I thought of the dream, I knew alot of things must have gone wrong and I prayed over the dream.

Lessons derivable from the above:
1. May be God wanted to show that good people are most times imprisoned unjustly and blindly

2. There is possibility that the bad boy was freed because the police didn't want to actually stop the crime but are more interested in the money friends and family will pay them for bailing. That also may inform their action of arresting alot of people and not hearing them out.

3. In the process of doing good or trying to do good there are challenges or obstacles or fears but be steadfast and persistent. I know in my struggle one person (ordinary, police, parent, friend, another good person) will hear me out and act. This is because you do not know the next victim (may be your son or daughter or parent) and another good person will do like me. And crime will reduce. On the other hand, if we keep quiet and nothing, then we create a good environment for crimes or evil.

4. Police do your job well. Money and material wealth is vanity. Infact, as much as I know ill-gotten wealth don't last and are faced with problems that takes it. At last you will wish to be poor, good and healthy.

Please add experiences or lessons if you want. Thanks and God bless you as we make the world a better place for all.
